LeoLabs and NASA Enter Space Act Agreement for Flight Safety Data Integration & Coordination

MENLO PARK, CA, 11 August 2025 —Today, LeoLabs, the world’s leading mission partner for persistent Orbital Intelligence, announced it has entered into a Space Act Agreement (SAA) with NASA to evaluate LeoLabs data and determine its applications for new NASA conjunction assessment (CA) missions.

Under the agreement, NASA’s Conjunction Assessment Risk Analysis (CARA) program, which performs routine CA for NASA, will receive LeoLabs’ satellite metric observations and radar cross section data, orbit determination and orbital safety products, and more.

“LeoLabs has long set the standard for proven, commercial space safety services and is well positioned to support a combined commercial-government solution for the NASA conjunction assessment process,” said LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier. “We are committed to offering seamless data integration to ensure resilient operations in a growing threat environment and this SAA will further enhance our ability to meet this mission need.”

LeoLabs has the largest commercial catalog of nearly 25,000 objects and associated activity in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). LeoLabs routinely tracks these objects with precision better than 10m for range and 10cm/s for radial velocity and delivers the data to customers with a median latency of less than two minutes.

NASA will test LeoLabs data to ensure it can integrate with DoD Space Surveillance Network (SSN) tracking data to produce a combined CA solution. As LEO grows exponentially more congested and crowded rideshare launches become more common, this collaboration has the potential to fill a critical gap in space safety.
